My pet is unique, especially because it is a mixed-breed rescued doggie that means the world to me. It may look ugly or weird to someone, but for me, my dog is the most beautiful one in the world. Thus, she deserves a unique present.

One of the items that some people still see as strange is the collar that produces light and what’s even more the light in different colours. Also, many think that it is just a fashionable element for peculiarity. Well, I could agree with it, but it’s not that simple, there is more to it.

When those collars first appeared, they looked funny. I referred to the dogs who wore it as moving Christmas trees. But once I saw the right purpose, I was amazed.

We had a Rottweiler girl, rescued from a horrible breeder that wanted to put her to sleep because she didn’t fit some physical standards so he didn’t want to use her for breeding.

Our Nera was black with tan spots that original Rottweilers have. She was stunning in the daylight. At night, you couldn’t see anything but her teeth. As she was a good girl, she never showed them, at least not without a reason which she rarely had.

However, she was very obedient. We never had to call her to come, we just clicked the buckle on her leash and she would immediately place herself in front of us.

So, you must be wondering why we needed the led light collar. Well, here’s the reason.

During the day, we walked Nera on a leash here in the city. If we went far, by the river, she would be free to walk. She never cared for people, but for some reason, people have always been afraid of black dogs.

At night, we had the company of several other dogs including another Rottweiler boy and one black Labrador. It was really difficult to know who is who in the pitch dark. They played a lot and ran far.

The moment I found the led light collar in a pet shop, I was impressed. It made her perfectly visible to me and to passers-by, too. You know, passers-by may sometimes get startled by the appearance of a black dog in the dark despite the fact that they are not afraid and are dog lovers indeed.
