A Chance Encounter
The story of how Betty came into my care is quite an adventure.
Back at the end of 2019, a friend asked me to pick up a dog abandoned near a hotel. Little did I know, this seemingly simple task would lead to a series of unexpected events.
Upon arriving, I was met with hostility from a couple of men who falsely claimed the dog was theirs. They even attacked me!
Despite the chaos, I managed to leave with a dog—but not the one I had come for.
After a few days, I returned to the hotel and finally took the right dog. Betty wasn’t the dog my friend was looking for.
This turn of events led to Betty becoming part of my rescue family.
Betty’s Key Characteristics
Betty is a medium-sized dog, standing about 45cm tall and weighing around 20kg. Her size makes her perfect for various living situations, whether in a cozy apartment or a spacious house.
Her mixed breed adds to her charm, though we’re not entirely sure what her exact lineage is. What we do know is that she is an absolute sweetheart.
- Obedient: Betty listens well and follows commands, making her an ideal companion for both experienced and novice dog owners.
- Cuddly: She adores snuggling up to her human friends, offering warmth and affection.
- Active: Betty enjoys playtime and outdoor activities, always ready for a game or a walk.
Her friendly nature extends to everyone she meets. Betty is great with people of all ages, including children, and gets along well with other dogs.
Although she hasn’t been tested with cats, her adaptable and loving nature suggests she could potentially fit in well with feline friends too.
Betty’s Health and Well-being
Betty is in excellent health. She has been spayed and is fully vaccinated, ensuring she’s ready to join a new family without any health concerns.
Her current status reflects her resilience and readiness for a new chapter in her life.

Adventure plus dogs is a pretty common combination. Actually, all of Nevena’s Rescues dogs are adventures, but Betty is definitely in the lead.
